SIKESTON -- "The Dark Knight Rises" is not only the final movie in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy: it is also the last movie shown at the Sikeston Malco Trio using a film projector.

The Batman movie is also one of the first digital movies to be presented at the Malco.

Freddy Kenser, assistant manager and projectionist for the Malco Trio, said he noticed a striking difference Wednesday when the "The Dark Knight Rises" was shown using the new digital projector as compared with Tuesday's showing which used the old film projector for the last time.
