Catherine Turley

SIKESTON -- Catherine C. Turley, 80, died July 27, 2012, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Feb. 29, 1932, in Stella, to the late Lee and Pearl Spivey Collier, she served in the U.S. Navy, was a healthcare provider to local families and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sikeston.

On March 11, 1958, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she married Stephen Turley who preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2003.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Collier.

Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kevin Turley of Portageville, Craig and Dena Turley of Lilbourn and Daren and Karen Turley of Caruthersville; one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Bill Belus of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Mary Woolston of Joplin, Mae Belle Woolston of Mounds, Kan., and Dorothy Smith of Baxter, Kan.; and 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Friday at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. The Rev. David B. Ross will officiate.

Burial with full military rites will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
