HARRISONVILLE -- Almous Oscar "Al" Kuykendall, 76, died July 31, 2012.
Born May 5, 1936, in Biggers, Ark., to the late Harry and Mirtie Kuykendall, he farmed in the Missouri Bootheel until 1970 when he moved to Belton. He worked 23 years at Cotter & Co. in South Kansas City and retired in 1993.
Survivors include: his wife Cynthia; two sons; Timothy (June) and Michael Keith Kuykendall; one daughter; Terri; one adopted daughter Amber (Jake); three sisters; Wanda Salyer of Sikeston, Shirley Cates of Charleston and Linda Rogers of Independence; four brothers; Tom Pemberton of Mohave, Ariz., Shirrel Kuykendall of Bloomsdale, Russell Kuykendall of Florrisant and Jay Kuykendall of Warsaw; five stepdaughters, Donna, Regina, Robin, Amy and Jennifer; five stepsons, Dennis, Rodney, Scotty, Christopher and Robert and 29 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Arvella Pemberton King, Margie Kuykendall Coffer and Betty Kuykendall Schatte; and six brothers, Elzie, Leo, Ralph Pemberton, Audrey, Carmon and Harmon Kuykendall; and one stepson; Bill.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. until time of services at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rockbrook Church, 1715 East 173rd Street in Belton.
