BENTON -- Football has finally arrived at Kelly High School.
Monday marked the first official day of practice for fall sports in Missouri and with it the Kelly Hawks officially took the field for the first time. Forty-three players donned maroon helmets and shoulder pads on Monday morning as coaches barked instructions and demonstrated proper technique. Kelly will field a junior varsity team this fall and will begin varsity play in 2014.
"It is really exciting to come out here and play," said junior Clay Williams. "I've been going to Kelly all my life and they've never had it."
