BENTON -- The races for state representatives of District 148 and 151 are now set after Tuesday's primary narrowed the races to two.
In District 148, Democratic candidate Bart Ziegenhorn defeated Mike Marsh 1,493-860 to win the primary. Ziegenhorn will now take on Republican Holly Rehder in November. Rehder claimed her spot on the Republican ticket by overtaking Josh Bill 2,330-1,472.
In District 151, Ryan Wm. Holder earned the Democratic nod after defeating Gary L. Gaines 891-692. Holder will take on Republican Dennis Fowler who narrowly defeated challenger Bob Thrower.
Fowler beat Thrower by only 0.2 percent in the Republican primary contest for the 151st House District, which covers most of Stoddard County and a small part of Scott County. With such a small margin, Thrower could request a recount, since he lost by less than 1 percent.
Until Scott County election totals came in, Thrower looked to have the race. But just that small bit of the district -- an area that covers Chaffee and Oran -- turned it around.
