DEXTER -- Catherine M. Barber, 92, died Aug. 19, 2012, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born June 11, 1929, in Puxico, to the late Earl and Flavie Cornman Clark, she was a member of the Sweet Prospect General Baptist Church in Dexter, a former employee of International Hat Company in Dexter, a farmer and homemaker.
On June 1, 1946, at Piggott, Ark., she married Deon Barber who preceded her in death Sept. 7, 1988.
She was also preceded in death by six brothers, Vernon Clark, Kenneth Clark, Ralph Clark, Jack Clark, Ray Clark and Leroy Clark.
Survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Joyce Minton Wade of Dexter and Kay and Tommy Eaves of Clarksville, Tenn.; one brother, Larry Clark of Ziegler, Ill.; one sister, Lola Mae Hilliman of Flint, Mich.; and five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Ray Rowland officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
