COWETA, Okla. -- Dale Seabaugh, 90, formerly of Chaffee, Mo., died Aug. 27, 2012, at his daughter's home in Coweta.
Born Feb. 18, 1922, in Zalma, Mo., to the late Vincent Earl and Bertha Alfreda Abernathy Seabaugh, he was a self-employed carpenter who built houses before working as a rock crusher machine operator and security guard for St. Joe Mining Co. in Viburnum, Mo. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II from October 1942-45.
On Aug. 10, 1946, he married Mable Dehart. On Feb. 27, 1960, he married Margaret who preceded him in death on Dec. 24, 1989.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Leslie "Scooter" Seabaugh, two brothers, Eldred Seabaugh and Joel Seabaugh, and two sisters, Ila Vehrs and Coleta Shelton.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kay Boddy of Coweta; one sister, Elnora Lee of Chaffee; and eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 4:30 p.m. until time of a memorial service at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with Burt Croy officiating.
