Infant's skull fractured in assault

CHARLESTON - A Bertrand woman will be arraigned Wednesday in connection with fracturing the skull of an infant.

Maria Foy, 27, is scheduled to appear at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday before Associate Judge T. Lynn Brown on a charge of first degree assault. Foy was arrested Aug. 24 following an investigation led by Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore and Deputy Janice McCameron.
