ANNISTON --Clifford Duty, 66, died Sept. 3, 2012, at his residence in Anniston.

Born March 12, 1946, at Poplar Bluff, to the late Barney Vonlee Duty and Helen Louise Conyers Duty Jacobs, he lived all of his life in Mississippi County where he was a retired construction worker.

Survivors include: his wife Mary Davenport Duty of East Prairie; his longtime companion, Anita Linley Willis of Anniston; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Terry D. and Christy Duty of East Prairie and Jessie E. Willis of East Prairie, Lee and Alma Duty of Anniston and Ben and Heather Gammons of Little Rock, Ark.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sherri and Randy Shaver of Morehouse, Christi Hodgkiss of East Prairie and Amber and James Evans of East Prairie; three sisters, Vonda Duty, Connie Duty and Becky Worthington all of the state of North Carolina; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Duty; a grandchild, Jessup Willis; his stepfather, Herman Grady Jacobs; one great-grandchild, Benjamin John Lee Carter; and one brother, Fred Duty.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
