SIKESTON -- A Sikeston church is once again offering a one-day outreach to a group sometimes overlooked among congregations -- bikers.
Bike Nite 2012 is planned for Saturday at the Sikeston First Assembly of God Recreation Complex, 1221 N. Ingram Road.
"Our vision for this event is that it's more than an event -- it's an outreach," said Dwayne Maynard, pastor of Sikeston First Assembly of God. "We want to reach out to men (and women) and let them know that Jesus Christ loves them and we -- the church -- loves them and that God has a plan for their lives."
Maynard said often people who associated themselves with bikers get overlooked by the church, but the purpose of "Bike Nite" is to not overlook anybody and to offer encouragement to men and women.
