Sikeston -- Mary F. Mathis, 66, died Sept. 7, 2012, at her home in Sikeston.
Born July 20, 1946, in Huntingdon, Tenn., to the late Jimmy and Dora Allen Ragan, she was a member of the First Assembly of God church in Morehouse and had been employed as a cook at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
On June 26, 1965, she married Harold Mathis who survives of the home.
She is also survived by: one son and daughter-in-law Harold David and Kimberly Mathis of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law Tami and Greg Day of Sikeston; one stepdaughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Marshall Rice of Dyersburg, Tenn.; three brothers, Lee Ragan of Malden, Henry Ragan of Caruthersville and Billy Ragan of Hayti; and six grandchildren, Elliott Hausmann, Angel Liles, Aaron Mathis, Kaelie Day, Logan Day and Cooper Day.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one grandson.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at the Ponder Funeral Home where services will be held at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Portwood, pastor of First Assembly of God in Morehouse, officiating.
