ANNA-JONESBORO, Ill. -- The Sikeston Bulldogs soccer team went on the road Tuesday defeating Anna-Jonesboro, Ill., 1-0.

Tyler McClinton scored the game's only goal in the 25th minute after an assist from Adam Johnson.

It's Sikeston's 7th shutout of the year.

"Overall, we played a good game," Sikeston head coach Doyle Noe said. "Anna's a solid team and it's tough to play them at their place. Our defense limited their chances and we outshot them by a good margin.

"It's a good win for us going forward."

Sikeston (8-3) will host Poplar Bluff Thursday in a varsity-only game that will start at 6 p.m. at the Sikeston Sports Complex.
