MATTHEWS -- Juanita Ellen Atwell, 82, died Sept. 18, 2012, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born April 24, 1930, in Marquand, to the late Henry Clarence and Grace Arizona Barrett Stephens, she was a homemaker and member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Matthews.
On Oct. 30, 1948, in Piggott, Ark, she married Howard Atwell, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Anne Atwell of Verona; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and Wayne Gremard of Sikeston, Tina Goodland and Bill Cranman of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Cheryl Kinder of Matthews; three brothers; one sister; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Visitation is from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Friday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Chris Polk, pastor of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Matthews, officiating.
