BALD KNOB, Ark. -- Jack Poyner, 72, died Sept. 19, 2012, following a battle with cancer.
Born Dec. 8, 1939, in Farrenburg, Mo., to the late Willy Ensely and Cornelia Virginia Poyner, he was a U.S. Army veteran and of the Baptist belief.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Curtis and June Arlen Poyner, in addition to his parents.
Survivors include: his wife, Kathyrn Poyner of Bald Knob; one son, Billy Poyner of Sikeston, Mo.; six daughters, Tami Overby and Missy Abney of Sikeston, Kelly Scott of Manila, Dawn Ward of Searcy, Mary Bonds of Conway and Trisha Castelli of North Little Rock; four sisters, Jane Ann Agan, Jean Follis and Jetta Merridith of Texarkana, Texas, and Sue Byrd of Saratoga; one brother, Jim Poyner of Morgantown, W.Va.; and 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Private services will be conducted under the direction of Faith Funeral Service in West Manila.
