Cotton-pickin' time

A farmer sprays defoliant on a field of cotton located off Salcedo Road in Sikeston before rain set in Wednesday evening. Showers were expected to end Thursday morning with a chance of isolated thunderstorms on Friday morning before a beautiful weekend is forecast with temperatures reaching the upper 70s or low 80s.
