CHARLESTON -- Clyde Cleaves, 57, died Sept. 26, 2012, at the Charleston Manor.
Born April 12, 1955, in Diehlstadt, to the late Jessie and Callie Nicholson Cleaves, he was of the Baptist belief.
He is survived by: three sons, Mark Carter and Ananizer Carter of Chicago Heights, Ill., and Clyde Carter of Louisville, Ky.; one daughter and son-in-law, Kizzie and Jody Willis of Chicago Heights; nine brothers, Tommie Cleaves and Randy Cleaves of Cape Girardeau, James Cleaves of Charleston, Samuel Cleaves, Steve Cleaves, John Cleaves and Timothy Cleaves of Columbus, Ohio, Jessie Cleaves of Louisville and Phillip Cleaves of Queens, N.Y.; three sisters, Delores Hall of Charleston and Larcene Robinson and Diane Cleaves of Cape Girardeau; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grand Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church in Charleston with Corey Douglas, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Wiley Reed serving as eulogist.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
