SIKESTON -- A bullet narrowly missed a Sikeston man, who was sitting inside his vehicle.

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety is searching for a suspect who fired a gun at Christopher Jackson, 28, as he was sitting inside his vehicle behind a residence in the 300 block of Lee Street.

According to Lt. James McMillen, DPS public information officer, an unidentified subject fired a single bullet through the glass of the driver's side window at 10:20 p.m. Thursday. Based on the trajectory of the bullet, which exited the passenger's side door, the bullet just missed striking Jackson in the face, McMillen said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DPS at (573) 471-4711 or call the Crimestoppers Hot Line at (573) 471-1500. Tips can remain anonymous but those with information on Davis may be eligible for a cash reward.
