KENNETT -- The Charleston Bluejays and Kennett Indians combined to total 889 yards on Friday night, but when the dust settled it was Charleston who compiled the most points, winning 48-28.

Charleston (4-2) got five touchdown runs from Robert Bogan as the junior gained 181 yards on 17 carries. Sophomore Rontavious Clark added a 30-yard touchdown run and 147 yards on 15 carries.

"I thought Kennett came out and played a hard game," Charleston coach Brett Blackman said. "They made us dig deep into our playbook. I thought we played well up front. Our backs ran the ball extremely hard tonight."

Charleston compiled 437 yards on the ground and another 52 through the air as quarterback Mike Hull completed 3 of 4 passes.

"We have a lot of backs," Blackman said. "We didn't use them all. We didn't get the Demontrail Clark kid in tonight and we have a set he is really good at. We did not run Mike Hull because we didn't utilize our spread offense tonight like we did earlier in the year."

Kennett (0-6) also had two 100-yard rushers as running back Darius Warren carried the ball 22 times for 178 yards and two touchdowns while quarterback Harold Weeden had 125 yards on 20 carries. Weeden also finished 9 of 17 passing for 97 yards with two touchdowns.

"We had some mistakes on defense we need to fix and Kennett took advantage of those mistakes tonight," Blackman said. "We tried stretch it out, but Kennett stuck around until the end."
