NEW MADRID -- Jane Ann Bennett, 60, passed away Sept. 28, 2012, in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Born May 7, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, to Betty Belle Bloomfield Sides of New Madrid and the late Raymond Sides, she was a lifetime member of the Immaculate Conception Church in New Madrid where she had been serving as parish secretary. She was employed with Noranda Aluminum for 29 years until her retirement.
On Jan. 25, 1973, at Immaculate Conception Church, she married Barry Bennett who survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Tammy Bennett of New Madrid; two sisters, Peggy Sides of New Madrid and Mary Catherine Bracey of Portageville; one brother, Tommy Sides of New Madrid; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Bennett and Jacob Bennett.
She was preceded in death by one infant son, Scott Joseph Bennett, maternal grandparents, Leona and Jimmy Bloomfield, and paternal grandparents, Lottie and Tom Sides.
Visitation is scheduled from 3 p.m. until time of funeral Mass at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Jarek Skrzypak will officiate.
A private burial will follow.
