'Rockin' Ramble' added to annual event lineup

SIKESTON -- Those planning to take part in the 4th Annual Cotton Ramble may want to keep both Friday and Saturday open that weekend.

This year's Cotton Ramble will be Oct. 13, according to the event's committee members.

"It's a Saturday," said Ed Cowan, committee member. "Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the ride starts at 9 a.m. at the Sikeston Depot, Downtown."

But the fun starts early this year.

"We've added the 'Rockin' Ramble' on Friday night: 7 p.m. Oct. 12," Cowan said. "It's just a gathering of the riders at Jeremiah's in Downtown Sikeston. A lot of our riders are from out of town so we thought we'd give them a chance to get together with other riders and eat -- and there should be some live music."
