EAST PRAIRIE -- Shirley Ann O'Guin, 71, died at 8:50 a.m. Oct. 11, 2012, in the East Prairie Nursing Center.
Born Aug. 24, 1941, in East Prairie, to the late Aaron Davis and Gladys Amelia Atkinson Ashley, she lived all of her life in Mississippi County where she was employed for 25 years as a driver and dispatcher for the Mississippi County Transit in East Prairie and a member of the Full Gospel Church in East Prairie.
On Nov. 10, 1956, in East Prairie, she married Eugene O'Guin who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four sons and three daughters-in-law, David and Kathy O'Guin and Thomas O'Guin of East Prairie, James and Penny O'Guin of Charleston and Donald and Linda O'Guin of Mesa, Ariz.; one daughter and special friend, Angelia Ann Winfield and Vince Leeper of East Prairie; one sister, Mary Burnett-Robinson of Caruthersville; a special friend, Becky Miller of East Prairie; and 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Keith Franklin O'Guin, and one daughter, Shirley Jean O'Guin.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of memorial services at 1 p.m. Monday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie with Helen Kersey officiating.
