BENTON -- Buddy McClaine, 73, died Oct. 16, 2012, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Nov. 4, 1938, in Clarksville, Ark., son of the late Garland and Ola Voss McClaine, he had been a marshal for the towns of Oran and Vanduser and served on the Oran School Board. He had worked on the dock at Bunny Bread, farmed for a number of years for Lois Newman, worked as a bus driver and had owned a restaurant and doughnut shop in Arkansas before retiring.
On March 15, 1961, he married Paula Harrison who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Dwana McClaine of Benton; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Bobby Kindle of Bloomfield; and three grandchildren, David McCully Jr., Marrisa McClaine and Joseph Kindle.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at the Ponder Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Darrin Hudgens, pastor of New Beginnings, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Morley Cemetery at Morley.
Pallbearers will be: Dustin Moore, Jason Moore, Bob Kindle, Tray Crader, Mark Shaffer and David McCully.
