AID - Rosa Allen, 90, died Nov. 5, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield.
Born May 12, 1922, in Malden, daughter of the late John Elect and Minnie Ola Rootz Shelton, she moved to the Aid community in 1959, where she lived until moving into an area nursing home. She was of the Protestant belief.
On Oct. 17, 1957, she married Floyd Allen, who preceded her in death on March 20, 2012.
Surviving are: two sons, Thomas W. Morrison of Zalma and James E. Morrison of Arnold; one stepson, Kenny Allen of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Russell Shelton of Cape Girardeau and David Shelton of Dexter; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers, Everett, Bill, Wesley, Ralph, Howard, John, Charlie and Homer Shelton; and four sisters, Sallie Hampton, Agnes Blake, Ruby Kitrell and Mable Snider.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m until time of services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Dale Holman of Advance will officiate.
Burial will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
