DEXTER - Betty L. Casey, 77, died Nov. 2, 2012, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born March 12, 1935, near Bloomfield, daughter of the late Malcolm Edward and Elva Christine Fortner Sills, she grew up in Southeast Missouri and lived in St. Louis then California for 20 years before returning to Dexter in 1976. Employed at Arvin Automotive for 30 years, she was a member of the Dexter Eagles Aerie and the U.A.W. Local and attended the Assembly of God Church in Dexter.

On April 7, 1964, in Inglewood, Calif., she married Johnie Jefferson Casey, who preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1982.

Also preceding her in death were two brothers, George Leroy Fortner and James Edward Fortner in infancy.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Calvin Sandlin of Dexter; one brother, Charles Marler of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Linda Kirkpatrick and Dylan, Aaron and Quentin Sandlin of Dexter; and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Phil Warren of Dexter will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
