Almost Christmas time

Mississippi County Historical Society board members recently completed decorating the Moore Home in Charleston with a "Candy Canes on Candle Night" theme for their annual open house scheduled for 6 p.m. Dec. 7. The event will include Christmas music directed by Jerry McDowell; turn-of-the-century refreshments; a bake sale; elves decorating; and youths modeling vintage clothing recently donated by the Thurmond and Brewer families.
