Mary Ann Laxton

SCOTT CITY -- Mary Ann Laxton, 66, formerly of Chaffee, died Nov. 25, 2012, at her home.

Born Sept. 11, 1946, in Allenville to the late Crayton and Ora Chapman Drennan, she was a housekeeper at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau and a member of the Christian Mission Church in Benton.

Survivors include: two sons, Brian Laxton of Marble Hill and Charles "Chuck" Laxton of Odessa, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Larry Buckles of Chaffee; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Visitation is scheduled after 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Sidney Laxton officiating.

Burial will follow at Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
