SIKESTON -- Rueben E. Scott, 67, died Nov. 26, 2012, at his home in Sikeston.
Born Jan. 8, 1945, in Canalou, he was the son of Alline Hill Scott of Sikeston and the late Edward F. Scott.
On Oct. 21, 1987, he married Karen Kay Edwards Wren who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is also survived by: three sons and daughters-in-law, 1st Sgt. Bradley E. and Kelly Scott of Fort Belvoir, Va., Jamie A. and Debbie Cook of Portageville and Spc. Bradley A. and Amy Wren of Essex; one daughter and son-in-law, LeAnn L. (Wren) and Jason Erwin of Hendersonville, Tenn.; one brother and sister-in-law, Scotty and Doris Scott of Sikeston; one sister and brother-in-law, Sharlyn (Scott) and Jerry Ruedrich of Sikeston; 12 grandchildren, Samantha (Byron) Kirby of Pacific, Summer Scott, Riley Scott, Colton Scott of Ft. Belvoir, Lauren Jones and Tyler Jones of Portageville, Austin Erwin, Jason Erwin II, Dylan Erwin of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Ashley Wren, Tyler Wren and Drew Wren of Essex; and five great-grandchildren, Hailey Scott, Lex Kirby, Bentley Kirby, Annastia Kirby and Brandon Kirby.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one grandson, Joseph Scott.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Ponder Funeral Home.
A private interment will follow at a later date with no public services to be held.
