SIKESTON -- At a formal ceremony, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety mourned the loss of a fellow officer whose crime fighting record includes the capture of two murder suspects and a lengthy career in the local battle against illegal drugs.
Eros, the department's K9 officer, died Nov. 24 of health complications. Eros joined the Department in April 2005.
"For more than seven years, Eros has served the citizens of Sikeston with honor," DPS Capt. Jim McMillen said in a news release.
