CHARLESTON -- Frankie Junior Bowles, 81, died Dec. 2, 2012, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 20, 1931 in Ponotoc, Miss., to the late Ottice and Nannie Mary Blaylock Bowles, he had lived since 1949 in Charleston where he served with the Missouri National Guard then was employed in law enforcement by the Charleston Department of Public Safety and the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department for 16 years. He worked with Terminix prior to establishing his own termite control business from which he retired in 1993.
Also surviving are: three sons, Frank Stephen Bowles of Jackson, Larry Wayne Bowles of Charleston and Samuel T. Passley of Orlando, Fla.; a former wife, Mae Marie Passley of Charleston; three brothers, Clifton Bowles of Tupelo, Miss., Bill Bowles of Center Hill, Fla., and Don Bowles of Ocoee, Fla., one sister, Mary Elizabeth Vanadore of the state of Arkansas; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Charles Bowles and Troy Bowles, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Nathan Kidd, Max Bannister, Lanni Buckingham, David Manker, Roy Lee Bowles and Tim Hill.
