DEXTER -- Bob Blair, 77, died Dec. 5, 2012, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.
Born June 15, 1935, in Henderson, Tenn., son of the late John Turner Blair and Myrtle Mae Lynch Blair, he was a member of the New Hope General Baptist Church near Essex and a retired farmer.
On Jan. 30, 1955, at Essex, he married Jean Mayberry, who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Jane Blair Jr. and Terry and Karen Blair of Essex and Jeff and Melissa Blair of Dexter; two brothers, Kermit Blair of Essex and J.C. Blair of Vallejo, Calif.; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd Blair and A.L. Blair, and two sisters, Connie Beck and Linnie Rowland.
Visitation is scheduled from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Revs. Josh Carpenter and Steve Tippen will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Taylor Cemetery in rural Essex.
