DEXTER -- Helen Bowling, 84, died Dec. 6, 2012, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.
Born on June 23, 1928, in Bloomfield, to the late Otis and Winnie Skelton Weaver, she had lived in Bloomfield all her life where she was a member of the First General Baptist Church.
On Dec. 28, 1946, in Bloomfield, she married Earl Bowling, and he preceded her in death on May 1, 1987.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Earl Bowling and Jerry Ray Bowling; and one brother, James R. Weaver.
Surviving are three daughters, Brenda Bowling of Dexter and Vicky Bowling and Debbie Bowling of Bloomfield; four sons, Ronnie Bowling, Larry Bowling and Kenny Bowling of Bloomfield and Michael Bowling of Coolidge, Ariz.; four sisters, Louise Smith and Melba Barnett of Bloomfield, Dorthy Evans of Cypress, Texas, and Georgia Hughes of Hayden, Ala.; three brothers, Harold Gaines, Don Weaver and Dale Weaver of Bloomfield; and 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Greg Stevens of Bloomfield officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
