SIKESTON -- A citizens group on Monday discussed the long-range building needs throughout the Sikeston R-6 School District.
The school district's Citizens Advisory Committee reconvened for the 2012-2013 school year during a meeting Monday in the library at Sikeston High School. Comprised of parents, district staff members, business members and community organization representatives, the committee meets typically twice a year to discus a range of issues and offer input to the district.
"We're looking at a bond issue right now in April 2014," Sikeston R-6 Superintendent Tom Williams told the approximate 50 people in attendance.
