SIKESTON -- Those who haven't yet shipped their holiday packages still have time to do so; however, the countdown has begun for delivery by Christmas.

"We're very busy, but we are staying on schedule," said Linda Renfroe, co-owner of The UPS Store in Sikeston. "Our estimated delivery dates are 99 percent accurate."

Mondays are typically the busiest shipping days for UPS, and Dec. 17-21 is expected to be the busiest week of the year.

"Monday, Dec. 10 was the busiest day in FedEx history," said Bonnie Kourvelas, company spokesperson for FedEx. "That's the day we had the most packages in the system."
