DEXTER -- Nina Isabelle Sandusky, 73, died Dec. 15, 2012, at her home.
Born Aug. 14, 1939, in Portageville, to the late Virgil G. and Viola Wheeler Allen, she was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Dexter.
On Aug. 4, 1956, in Hernando, Miss., she married Kenneth Sandusky who survives of the home near Dexter.
Other survivors include: one son, Ken Sandusky of Little Rock, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Dennis Jackson of Bernie; one brother, Tommy Allen of Parma; three sisters, Ruth Lester of Jonesboro, Ark., Hazel Pickard of Bloomsdale and Betty Batson of Raleigh, N.C.; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Vernon Allen, Herbert Allen, Leroy Allen and Jimmy Doyle Allen, and two sisters, Lilly Williams and Lois Paul.
Graveside services were conducted today in the Sycamore Cemetery with the Rev. Lonny Mittag officiating.
The Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Bernie was in charge of arrangements.
