SIKESTON -- Students and faculty of the Sikeston R-6 Alternative Education Center took time Monday morning to remember those affected by the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
"A lot of kids across the country are affected, and we want them to know we're thinking of them," said Lynn Crader, principal of the alternative school in Sikeston.
Twenty students and six adults at the Newtown school were killed Friday by the gunman, who also killed himself and his mother.
