ESSEX -- Oscar Leo Pullum, 79, died Dec. 21, 2012, at his home.

Born Oct. 19, 1933, in Parma, to the late Herbert Milton and Serena Jane McCoy Pullum, he lived most of his life in Essex where he worked as a farmer.

On Sept. 25, 1952, in Bernie, he married Myrul Jean Pullum who preceded him in death Dec. 6, 2011.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Louise Duncan, four brothers, Andrew Pullum, Bill Pullum, Lloyd Pullum and Floyd Pullum, and four sisters, Martha Williams, Pearl Knupp, Virgie Qualls and Dorthy Wilson.

Surviving are: four sons, Leon Pullum of Bloomfield, Richard Pullum of Essex and James and Tony Pullum of Dexter; one daughter, Kathy Miller of Portageville; and 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Friday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Jerry Wilkinson of Advance officiating.

Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery in Essex.
