CHAFFEE -- William Franklin Baker, 88, died Dec. 23, 2012, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
Born March 28, 1924, in Himmel, to the late John William and Gladys Dora Lingle Baker, he retired as a machine operator at Florsheim Shoe Factory in Chaffee and was a member of the Victory Life Pentecostal Center in Oran.
On Sept. 11, 1945, he married Mary Louella Randles who preceded him in death April 1, 2006.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, a brother and a stepbrother.
Survivors include: six sons and four daughters-in-law, James Baker of Oran, Steve and Debbie Baker and Larry Baker of Chaffee, Roger and Linda Baker of Jackson, Tenn., Mike and Tonya Baker of Benton and Doug and Devina Baker of Lexington, Ky.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Margaret Klipfel of Chaffee and Shirley and Sonny Bledsoe of Sesser, Ill.; two brothers, Willie Baker of Puxico and Billy Joe Baker of Sikeston; two sisters, Hazel Grisswell of Sikeston and Deany Pennington of Puxico; and 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation is scheduled at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Victory Life Pentecostal Center in Oran where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday with the Revs. Brian Flanigan and Larry Gammons officiating.
Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
The Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
