Johnnie Applewhite

SIKESTON -- Johnnie B. Applewhite, 59, died Dec. 30, 2012, at his home.

Born Oct. 11, 1953, in Sikeston, son of the late Albert and Hazel McCauley Applewhite, he was a 1971 graduate of Sikeston High School and of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include: four brothers, the Rev. Leon Applewhite of Chicago, Joseph (Erma) Applewhite, James (Mary) Applewhite and Ezell Applewhite of Sikeston; and four sisters, Mary Henry, Ida Applewhite and Irene Applewhite of Sikeston and Willie Lee Stidman of Chicago.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at noon Saturday at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Sikeston with the Rev. Leon Applewhite officiating.

Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
