Appointments for circuit courts made
JEFFERSON CITY - A New Madrid native was among five appointments made to circuit courts across the state.
On Wednesday, Gov. Jay Nixon named five new associate circuit judges to replace those that were elected circuit judge last November.
Nixon appointed Assistant Attorney General Elizabeth Bock, formerly an assistant prosecutor in Greene County, to replace Craig Carter in Douglas County. Bock, who is formerly of New Madrid, currently resides in Springfield.
"Liz Bock has demonstrated her legal ability time and again in representing the people of Missouri in many tough criminal cases," Nixon said. "I am pleased to appoint her to the bench in Douglas County to serve the people of this county as their new Associate Circuit Judge."
