BENTON -- Angie Mae Lawless, 87, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1925, in Fairdealing, to Charles and Erma Helvy Dunlap.
She and James Lawless were married Aug. 19, 1941, at Naylor. He preceded her in death in 1994.
She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Benton, where she was very active. She taught young girls in Sunday School for more than 50 years. Angie also loved gardening.
Survivors include: two sons, Marvin (Karen) Lawless of Jackson and Larry Lawless of Durand, Wis.; one daughter, Elaine (James) Rikoon of Columbia; and two sisters, Dessie Mirt of Springfield and Virginia Medling of Poplar Bluff. Angie is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her son, Stan; her granddaughter, Mischelle Lawless; her parents; one brother; and seven sisters.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Dale Huff officiating.
Burial will follow at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery in Benton.
