NEW MADRID - Ola Evelena Taylor Fowler, 78, died Jan. 5, 2013, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born July 8, 1934, in Paris, Tenn., to the late WIlliam Franklin and Tessie Bradfield Taylor, she was a member of the Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church.
On Oct. 4, 1952, in Piggott, Ark., she married Alex Fowler, who survives of the home.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Alex Fowler; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Randy and Emma Fowler of the Lilbourn/Kewanee community, and Tim and Lynette Fowler and Karen Fowler of New Madrid; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Tom McCoy of Catron; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Frankie Taylor Fout of the Lilbourn/Kewanee community and Becky Taylor and Jimmy Tollison of Alma, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Kristi Fowler Bond, Amy Fowler McCanless, Tommy McCoy, Terry McCoy, Jaclyn Flower, Natalie Fowler, Sarah Fowler Ezell, Allison Fowler and Caroline Fowler; six great-grandchildren, Madison Bond, Gavin Bond, Macy McCanless, Ayden McCanless, Kaylin McCoy and Jackson McCoy; 10 nephews; six nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Joey Fowler.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday. Dan Wisely, pastor of the Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church, and the Rev. Tom McCanless will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Taylor, Bill Taylor, Jerry Redden, Sam Faulkner, Flea McMillen and Joe Porter.
