Helen Cantrell

SIKESTON -- Helen Cantrell, daughter of the late Walter and Nola Ann Rice Johnson, was born on July 18, 1938, in Vanduser, and passed away at the age of 74 years on Jan. 10, 2013, at her home in Sikeston.

Mrs. Cantrell had lived in the Sikeston area the past 41 years. She had lived in Ohio and was of the Baptist belief. She had worked as a private duty nurse.

She was the widow of Carl Perry who preceded her in death on July 8, 2007.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nola Sue Sears, and one sister, Lavina Graham.

Surviving are: one son, Noel Ray Cantrell of Sikeston; three daughters, Debbie Lynn Cantrell and Audrey Michelle Kirkman of Sikeston and Ellie Capps of Advance; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Franklin Don Johnson of Bradley, Ill.; and one sister, Alberta Poling of Nancy, Ky. Other relatives and friends also survive.

No services are scheduled. The Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
