Winter weather returns

The Tuesday afternoon snow caused very slippery conditions on roadways and was the cause of several accidents as well as the cancellation of many high school basketball games. Conditions continued to be slippery this morning, leading many local schools, including Sikeston R-6, to close. Conditions were expected to start improving by mid-morning as temperatures climbed above the freezing mark.
