ADVANCE -- Nadine Joyce Ford, 73, died Jan. 20, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Dec. 1, 1939, in Avert, daughter of the late Harold James Carter and Beatrice Perry Carter, she was a member of the First Methodist Church in Bell City. Employed as a cook at Bell City schools, she was a former employee of Elder Manufacturing in Bloomfield and Paramount Hat Co. in Advance.
On July 22, 1960, she married Charles Edward Ford, who preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1985.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ray Gene Carter.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward Dean and Pamela Ford of Advance and Jeffery Allen and Angela Ford of Nixa; four sisters, Erna Lee Robertson of Winfield, Doris L. Carter and Gail Barker of Bloomfield, and Linda Lois Christian of Blytheville, Ark.; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Sue Welborn will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Tillman Cemetery near Advance.
