SIKESTON - Let the trumpets sound! A royal banquet is planned and the public is invited.

Sikeston High School students are donning robes and ruffles, crowns and gowns for their third annual Madrigal Dinner, set for 7 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church.

The Madrigal is both a fundraiser and a learning experience for the students and dinner and entertainment for the public.

The students in the high school band, orchestra, choir and drama classes work together to create the Medieval feast. "This is a good collaborative effort," said Abe Leach, choir director. "There are not many things (at the school) that do that."
