PUXICO -- Eva Lois Cookson, 93, died Jan. 29, 2013, at the Puxico Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born July 29, 1919, in Fisk, to the late William and Carrie Rister Klaffer, she was a lifelong resident of Puxico where she was a member of the Life Chapel Assembly of God Church.
On Aug. 20, 1938, in Puxico, she married Vader Cookson, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1995.
Survivors include: one son, Dellis Cookson of Puxico; one daughter, Carolyn Roberson of St. Louis; four grandchildren, Sheree McClelland, Whitney Tegethoff, Kim Cookson and Ashley Cookson-Rodgers; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, where services will be conducted at 11a.m. Thursday with the Rev. James Cookson of Springfield officiating.
Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery near Puxico.
