Risco tops North Pemiscot, Rams bash Crusaders

RISCO -- The Risco Tigers wrapped up the second-seed in the Tri-County Conference Tournament on Tuesday with an 87-47 win over North Pemiscot.

Risco came out to on a dominant 25-5 lead to start the game and by halftime had accumulated a 31-point lead. Putting up 32 points in the third frame for their biggest quarter of the night, the Tigers ensured a turbo-clocked fourth.

Brandon Bixler led the Tigers with a game-high 25 points on the night while Caleb McCord and Jordon Pavy scored 15 and 13 points respectively. Josh Earnheart had 12 points to leave four Risco players in double-digits.

With the win, the Tigers finish conference play at 7-1, just one game back of Holcomb. The Tigers are 11-8 overall and will host Advance Thursday at 6 p.m.

SCOTT CITY -- Led by a 28-point, 15 rebound effort from Ryan Brock, the Scott City Rams took down Saxony Lutheran 63-37.

Scott City took only a seven-point lead into the half, but outscored the Crusaders 24-12 in the third quarter to break away. A 13-6 Ram run in the fourth sealed the win.

Jordan McFall contributed 13 points to Scott City's effort while recording eight rebounds and 10 assists. Ryan Fortner added 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Rams (11-9).

Jack Lake led Saxony Lutheran (8-14) with 19 points and eight rebounds while Gabe Bohnert added seven points and six assists.

CHAFFEE -- Chance Tenkhoff scored 16 points to help lead Oran to a 64-53 road victory over Chaffee after trailing by six points at halftime.

Coming out of the half down 31-25, the Eagles outscored the Red Devils 20-9 in the third quarter to take a five-point lead into the fourth. Oran went to outscore Chaffee 19-13 in the final frame to close out the win.

Hunter Schlosser added 15 points for Oran (18-3). Seth Ressel contributed 13 points and Kody Moore had 11 points.

Peyton Montgomery paced the Red Devils with 17 points. Jared Walker and Trevor Morehead each added 11 points for Chaffee (12-9).

JACKSON -- After a holding a 12-point lead at the half, the Dexter Lady Bearcats had to hold tight in the final two quarters to pull out a 61-52 win against Saxony Lutheran Tuesday at Saxony High School.

Saxony outscored the Lady Bearcats (17-3) 25-16 in the third quarter chasing Dexter to just a 3-point deficit.

The Lady Bearcats were able to hold on following a 10-2 run to start the final period.

Brittany Harris led Dexter with 22 points.
