SIKESTON - George Morris has crossed one thing off his bucket list.

Morris now has a yacht for his pond.

The yacht and the pond became a part of Morris' bucket list after seeing the movie "Secondhand Lions." The movie, he said, reminds many of his life.

Morris began the effort to recreate the portion of the movie where one of the characters floats a yacht in a pond on their land by searching out just the right boat. Through a series of contacts, he found a luxury double-cabin Hatteras in Talladega, Ala.

"The Hattaras is the most famous of the ocean yachts," Morris said. "It is twice as wide as most of them."
