CHARLESTON -- Properly disposing of prescription drugs just got a lot more convenient for area residents.
"The Charleston Department of Public Safety is happy to announce that we now have a prescription drug drop off box at the station," Robert Hearnes, Charleston DPS director, recently announced.
Hearnes said Charleston DPS partnered with Mission Missouri and Mississippi County Caring Communities so county residents would have a convenient way to properly discard old and out-of-date prescription medications.
"They arranged the funding and provided us with the box," Hearnes said.
