Today's early morning showers brought out a rainbow over Sikeston. After days of hot, dry weather the region has received some welcomed precipitation. The Sikeston Power Plant reported two inches have fallen in the past 48 hours. There is a 50 percent chance for more rain tonight and Wednesday until about 10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. The rains will keep temperatures in the mid-80s through the rest of the week and the NWS said there is a slight possibility for more rain coming in Friday and Saturday.
